About the author
Hello, I am the author of these three original Intellectual Properties — Killer Garden, Pig Farmer, and Monster, Friend. They are all Horror Films.
I was born in North Dakota and grew up on a family farm until the age of fifteen. We produced wheat, sunflowers, corn, flax, and raised pigs, cows, and chickens. During the summers, I maintained a large vegetable garden. Every Sunday, the whole family attended a Roman Catholic Church Mass. My mother worked full-time as a nurse to support the family; Dad and us kids maintained the farm. My father passed away, and we moved to a small town in North Dakota.
At eighteen, I left home for Minneapolis to study Architecture at the University of Minnesota. During my time there, I discovered two lifelong passions: travel and films. I watched movies frequently and became immersed in their cinematic worlds. My studies took me abroad to mainland China, and I also spent two summers travelling throughout Europe.
After graduating, I moved to Los Angeles and began my career with Walt Disney Imagineering, where I worked for eighteen years. During this time, I met my spouse, Hervé, on a trip to Paris. Travel continues to be an important part of our lives. While living in Los Angeles, I joined a local community garden in Los Feliz.
Between my time at Walt Disney Imagineering and my current role with Universal Creative, I lived in Asia for twelve years. Our travels have taken us to Egypt, India, Turkey, Burma, Cambodia, and Morocco, to name a few. These places, landscapes, and people we encountered inspire my storytelling.
I especially love the Horror genre and combine all my life experiences into my writing. I’ve attached two Scene Samples from each of my three IPs and have many more. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best Regards,
Steve Beyer
